After a career lasting almost three decades in the Saskatchewan Credit Union system, Kim Johnson knows well the value of customer service. By providing understanding through straight-forward discussions, he permits those that he serves to make well-informed decisions regarding their financial affairs, and follows up with customized plans to suit individual needs.
Kim began his working career with the Norquay Branch of the Kamsack Credit Union in 1977, moving to Saskatoon in 1979 to the St. Mary's Credit Union. He would remain there for the next 11 years, then moved to the Saskatoon City Employees Credit Union. It was there that he began selling mutual funds in addition to providing lending and investment counseling services to its members. Moving once again in 2000, he took a branch management position with Saskatoon Credit Union, where he remained in various positions before taking an early retirement in April of 2006. At that time, he was employed as Manager of Relationship Banking with that organization. Throughout Kim's Credit Union career, he continually upgraded his credentials obtaining: a certificate in business administration through the University of Saskatchewan, a Fellowship in the Credit Union Institute of Canada through Dalhousie University, and most recently his designation as a Certified Financial Planner together with the completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Life Insurance License.
